Auburn's Whitehead suspended for K-State game (The Associated Press)

Auburn safety Jermaine Whitehead won't play against No. 20 Kansas State after violating team rules. A spokesman for the fifth-ranked Tigers said Wednesday night that Whitehead is suspended and didn't make the trip for the Thursday night game. Whitehead is fourth on the team with 12 tackles in two games and leads the Tigers with two interceptions. Whitehead is in his third year as a starter in Auburn's secondary.
